Dear Applicant:

Thank you for your interest in Cardiology Fellowship training at Johns Hopkins. We invite you to explore this website to learn more about our program.   

We will accept applications for the 2009 program through the ERAS program only.

Number of positions: We expect to offer 8 positions for the 2009 program.

Application Deadline: The deadline to have a complete application in ERAS is 12/31/2007.

Interviews

We anticipate being able to notify applicants regarding interview status by January 31st, 2008.  Interviews will be conducted in March and April of 2008.

Required Documents:

The following supporting documents should be submitted via the ERAS program:

  • The ERAS application
  • Medical school transcript (official)
  • Personal statement
  • Three (3) letters of recommendation, including one from your program director. Please note: the ERAS system can accommodate up to 5 recommendation letters. (Please do not send additional letters or copies of publications to us in the mail)

Information for applicants on a Visa

  • J-1 clinical visas will be sponsored for applicants who are accepted into the program. Foreign medical graduates will need to have completed an ACGME-approved residency program in Internal Medicine in the US prior to beginning the program.
  • If you are currently on an ECFMG-sponsored visa and are accepted to the program, we will ask you to provide a copy of your USMLE score report at that time.
  • At this time we are not able to sponsor H-1 visas, but if you are in the process of obtaining your green card during the next year, you may wish to apply.
