Pilot Study in Impaired Glucose Tolerance Assessing Oxidative Stress and Effects of Alpha Lipoic Acid

Vascular Aging: The Link That Bridges Age to Atherosclerosis (VALIDATE).  Non-invasive characterization of vascular age and atherosclerotic burden in individuals with successful aging, i.e. those with no or minimal evidence of coronary disease and those with premature, clinically evident coronary artery disease.

Multi-Ethnic Study of Atherosclerosis (MESA). A multicenter NHLBI observational epidemiological trial investigating the early stages of atherosclerosis in diverse race and ethnic groups, including African Americans, Latinos, Asians and Caucasians.

JUPITER Trial. Clinical effects of rosuvastatin in persons with elevated levels of hs-CRP but average lipid levels.
